The Town of Carmel has been dominated by the Republican Party for too many years. In spite of the fact that the community is made up of nearly as many Democrats and unaffiliated voters as Republicans, only Republicans hold office in our town - from the Town Supervisor to County Clerk. This imbalance has led to unethical behavior, cronyism and haphazard development. We urge all Carmel Democrats to take an active role in creating a more balanced local government.
